Tabard were up against a more than capable Finchley side who ran in two early tries courtesy of some deft handling. The arrival of Harry Gough sparked Tabard in to life and they responded with a well constructed try of their own which narrowed the scores briefly but Finchley were able to clock up further four tries before half time.

Tabard did hit back but only after Finchley had crossed for a further four tries to take the score to 66 - 14 with 20minutes to play. Tabard fought to the last but were outclassed and, as is often the case, the dominant side got the bounce of the ball and were able to score a further four tries before the referee brought the game to a conclusion.
