Touch rugby has been played at Tabard for over 20 years ago. It started as an out-of-season club get together (junior, senior and parents), played on a Sunday morning in the summer and followed by drinks and some lunch (or at least chips & gravy) at the Cat and Fiddle.
In this time Touch Rugby as a sport has developed beyond recognition with hundreds of Local Clubs formed in the UK, Development and Elite team structures set-up in the UK and Global governance and Global tournaments established.
Tabard has been playing in local Touch Rugby Tournaments on and off for 10 years including playing an England team in one tournament (as part of their warm up for the Europeans) and at the Sevens in the City Touch tournament when it was held at Allianz Park in 2016.
Just as Touch rugby numbers have grown globally, they have also grown in North London and Hertfordshire. In the last 2 years Touch rugby has started at Finchley, Enfield, Royston, Sarries Amateurs, Fullerians and more recently OAs. It has grown at Tabard too, with regular Thursday night training sessions and a team playing in the Saracens Masters Social Touch League (Over35s),
